Re: Smog pump delete pulley
I know I could do that, I just prefered not to.
Re: Smog pump delete pulley
Thats what I ended up doing. I tried to get the "real" AIR delete export pulley, waited a month for it to find out GM will not sell it because its not for american cars!

Got a refund and bought the idler from Summit. May have to get a new belt but the cost comes out about the same. The "export" pulley is about $70-$90
$70 shipped from the dealer I was working through.

Re: Smog pump delete pulley
I want to run the pulley because of the issues you'd find with some people on here that ran without and had problems.
$38 seems really cheap. The lowest I've seen is about $75 and most say for serpentine belt and I don't have that.

Re: Smog pump delete pulley
On mine I just took it off and that's that. Alt has it's own belt and the p/s and a/c run on the fan. So what's a delete pulley?

Re: Smog pump delete pulley
I have an electric fan. From what I understood it keeps everything ballanced as it was on the stock setup.

Re: Smog pump delete pulley
Really? I swear I just read a lot of posts saying to put the pulley on and being that these are third gens I guess I just assumed it was this type of setup but there are a lot of third gens with ls and lt engine swaps and serpentine swaps. Any real gains with the swap anyways?
