WTB Stock Perimeter Bolt Valve covers
I am currently looking for stock old-style perimeter bolt valve covers that came on 82-86 small blocks. Would prefer GM stock pieces, no chrome, polished or colored. Black or silver are OK. Let me know what you got. Thanks!

I've got a couple sets;
Stock LG4 82-86 Steel,.... unfinished and need restoration ( not damaged ) They have some red overspray on them too, $20 + shipping.
Stock 85-86 TPI "ribbed" valve covers. Blasted and painted silver, $50 + shipping.

Do you have pics of them available? I've never seen the LG4 covers before. They are just the old style covers with no ribs right? If you have pics please send to futureace1@hotmail.com. I am very interested.

Sure,
Here are the LG4 covers,..... I found a little dent on the left side of the bottom cover but nothing serious The perimeter edges are not all bent up and should provide a good seal.

The 85-86 "ribbed:" style looks like this:

hmm ive owned a few 85 86 LG4 and L69 cars and never seen ribbed perimeter bolt ones like that wow interesting.... i know they had narrow serpentine belt system though.
i have a few smooth perimeter bolt 1980s VC's around also if anyone else is looking? and lots more parts too....q jet intake, new water pump in box still, power steering pump with lines and brackets, EGR valves, therm housings, flexplates both sizes and some 86 up too, starters, and more....
pm email or text me 217 671 7792

Thanks John. I will let you know. I'd like to wait until Sunday because we're having a local swap meet, but I think I'm leaning towards your 85 valve covers. Thanks!

Re: WTB Stock Perimeter Bolt Valve covers
i always assumed all v-8 chevy were smooth and were perimeter covers until 87. i knew that the carb ones were half /narrow style serpentine(alt and WP only) and many 87 88 were carb with the new center bolt VC heads and new center intake bolt angle.
but the v8 tpi stuff i have no idea, hmmm.. never have gotten to touch or own one.,
very odd to see perimeter covers with 87 up ribs, hmmm.. funky... just when you thought you knew every little thing they did different with the gen I sbc engines, something crazy comes along....
haha
thanks
