Replace a 305 with 350

I have a 89 Formula with a 305 and want to replace it with a 350. It can run or not as long as you know what is wrong with it and its rebuildable. One that runs is better. I will be rebuilding it anyway. Nothing beefed up just a bone stock engine. If it does have aftermarket parts email with what it is. This is MPI and has a roller cam. I am also entertaining the thought of a LT1 but just putting together a daily driver. If you have pictures send them to d_corbett@ymail.com

Thanks

Re: Replace a 305 with 350

I have a complete running 95 LT1 with LT4 hotcam + springs and roller tip rockers. The motor runs great and is 100% complete with fuel injection (you can switch to a carb if you want with an intake swap.) I'm in Illinois so I could deliver it for you depending on where you live. Swapping to a twin turbo 5.3 atm so this one has to go. $450 takes it. Let me know!

Are you in a hurry to get rid of this? I have been working alot of hours and Im waiting on more personal time Which is in Oct. 1st I can come get it. Can I get pics of the intake(the back) The waterpump (the top/front) and the heads. Is this in your 87 now? What did it take to swith it over? I want to stay away from performace for a while. I have only owned and raced 1st and 2nd Gen Birds for the last 20 yrs. I just want to enjoy driving without going deaf. My last TA I built a 572 Dart and it ran 9s. My boys are getting old enough I need to teach them the ropes. My next real project is a 73 Ta and I have most of the engine done now its a 632 Dart BB. Im going to a 2yr break from drag racing and just have a Sunday driver. This is my 1st 3rd Gen and I want it as street worthy as possiable (Quiet) I don't ever intend racing this body style. Hope to hear from you soon.

I'm not in that big of a hurry no. As for what had to be done, tbh not much. Drop it in, wire the harness to the C100 bulk connector, and fire away. I have the harness, ecm, etc whole lot. I haven't gotten the ecm fully tuned yet. Salomon is the guy who was tuning it. I however have no interest in this motor anymore as I'm addicted to the Gen 3's like a coke addict. I also have a complete exhaust system, headers to tail pipes for it as well as all accessory's, power steering lines, etc. This is literally a full drop in swap. Since it is still in the car, if you wanted to arrange a time to come out and hear it run, that would be fine. The heads have new valves, retainers, valve seals. Here's a pic of it during the build up.
