I take it this is for the throttle kickdown cable? The cable attached to the throttle body that helps the tranny shift at the right points?
That stupid cable is like $150, plus all the labor to get it down the back side of the block. I managed to fix mine in 15 minutes for about 50 cents...
Broke mine off about 6 years ago while out of town. I pulled the cable until the two halves of the plastic piece aligned so I could see how tight it was supposed to be, then marked the cable where it entered the rubber sheath with a permanent marker. I release the cable, snapped off the remaining plastic, and then placed a ring-shaped crimp connector on the cable at the appropriate spot. Once attached to the cable firmly, I put another crimp "behind" it, so it couldn't slide down the cable, and then tightly secured the ring side around the throttle body. Has held at the exact same spot for over half a decade.
This are the connector I'm referring to. Hopefully it was clear.

Same part I was thinking of. Just guess my memory of the price was way off.
Previously described fix works wonders, just figured I'd toss it out there in case you didn't want to replace the entire cable.
