WTB 10 Bolt 2.14 Gears

I am looking for a good set of 2.14 gears for a 10 bolt. If you have a set or know where to find a set please let me know.

Welcome to TGO, $um Fun.

I've never heard of a 2.14 in a thirdgen.

Yeah the lowest I have ever heard of would be the 2.73's which would be very sufficient. you can run 2.73's with tall tires 28+ to get a lower gear ratio technically.

Re: WTB 10 Bolt 2.14 Gears

I have a set of 2.41 gears out of a 7.5" 10 bolt unit.... I just took it all apart tonight ( with exception of the pinion and that will be taken out either tonight or tomm sometime )
If this is the gear that you would be interested in, let me know something on it...

Never heard of 2.41's in a thirdgen either.

Re: WTB 10 Bolt 2.14 Gears

I'm sure there was never a 2.41 in a third gen.. I was just offering him the set that I have if he is interested in them... I agree with Undercover89TBI in that the 2.73 gear was the highest gear that was put in a 3rd gen... I was surprised when I did open up the cover and count the gears to see what the ratio was.. I was expecting a 3.08. To clear things up, the rear end DID NOT come out of a 3rd gen. I had a 67 Chevelle years ago that the rear end was in.. pulled it and replaced it with a 12 bolt unit.. sat the 10 bolt underneath a room for years and am clearing out some stuff..
I didnt know if he had just gotten the numbers wrong or not with the 2.14 or 2.41 so I figured I would offer them to him before I decided to scrap the whole thing..

Re: WTB 10 Bolt 2.14 Gears

The 2.14 gears were added sometime from a another 10 bolt. The car was used to race on the salt flats and now I am rebuilding it to bring it back out. I was just hopeing that someone would have a set of 2.14 geras from another car kicking around the garage.

Yes I would be interested in the 2.41's.
