Fuel Pump Sending Unit
Hey guys,
I need a 1984 fuel pump sending unit. The car right now has an in tank pump that I want to do away with, and I can't find a new sending unit sans pump for a 1984 anywhere online.

Re: Fuel Pump Sending Unit
There are a couple threads about taking the pump off, then replacing the length the pump had with hard line & compression fitting, & a new sock filter.
(edit )
google
spectra premium sending unit
IIRC they have them for 3rd gens.
Or try JCWhitney, maybe thats where I saw them

I saw those, and I'll probably give it a shot.
The JC Whitney and spectra ones are from 1985 up.
Thanks though

Re: Fuel Pump Sending Unit
Factory Carb Sending unit ( no in-tank pump) $85 + shipping. It was blasted and painted red; in good shape. If your interested just post your ZIP and I'll reply with a shipping quote.

Re: Fuel Pump Sending Unit
Is this for an '84? From what I've heard, after 1984 they switched something in the electrics so if I use a post '84 sending unit the fuel gauge won't work.
Zip is 06472.
I'll decide if I want it or not in the coming days. I need to crawl under the car and verify that it has the in tank pump. It's a carbed H.O. so I'm pretty sure it's got the pump in it.
