3rd Gen BW 9-bolt with 3.45 gears
I'm trying to track one of these down to re-install in my 1989 Formula. A complete assembly with brakes would be nice but I'm open to whatever might be out there.

can you tell me how to verify the gear ratio?
i have a new parts car 87 TA and i was told it has 3.45

9 bolt rear end where disc brake only off the line. 10 bolt -rear cover had 10 bolts 9 bolt rear the rear cover has 9 Bolts. For the ratio mark the pinon and axle for 3.45 pinion turns 3.45 times to get axle to turn one time.
From gm ratios for 9 bolts are 2.77, 3.23 and 3.45 you could get 3.70 from parts but was never offered off the line.
2.77 used a special posi unit none of the other gears work with it because of the relation ship of ring gear flange to the pinion.
To have never seen a 9 bolt that was not a cone type posi. Smoking the tires going around a corner wore out the cones in a hurry. 9 bolts still in production in Australia as a M78 rear but parts are $$$ 9bolt.com about only place to get parts from.

I'm heading to Colorado in March, and would be willing to bring one out from this direction if you need me to.
I have the name and number of a guy I deal with regularly that had a 9 bolt a few months ago, completely rebuilt, but I don't know the gear ratio.
