Centerforce DF Clutch & Flywheel
Anyone have these new parts in the closet and your plans changed?
Looking more for the Centerforce DF clutch / pressure plate and will work with many other brand flywheels...
Thanks,
Rafael

Re: Centerforce DF Clutch & Flywheel
For what it's worth, I have one (not for sale) that I used in my IROC for many years that I just moved into my GTA. It's a great shifting clutch. Nice, smooth engagement and no slippage.

Re: Centerforce DF Clutch & Flywheel
I have no idea what they even sell for these days, but it was quite affordable when I bought mine back in the early 2000s.
Edit: Yeah, it looks like it's still pretty reasonable:

Sure beats the prices of T56 clutches.

Re: Centerforce DF Clutch & Flywheel
yup, looks like I had the wrong one. Sorry about that.
As for the flywheel, I actually bought a used one and resurfaced it when I did my T5 swap in the IROC. As long as the Dorman isn't made overseas, I'd just go with that one. I'm not really a huge fan of chinese steel. Their steel is generally impure, and results in some very porous castings. I've had a friend have the rotors on 2 different cars disintegrate because of it. Big chunks of the rotor literally fell off, and the underside looked like a rough casting. It was so porous that chunks just flat fell off. Fortunately I haven't had similar problems with any of my Chinese rotors, but I sure wouldn't trust their steel in a flywheel.
