looking for fuel tank valve....
wondering where I can find one of these tank vent valves.
hawks and some other places tell me that its nearly impossible to find new or oem. I would much prefer NEW, but if anyone is looking to sell (or knows where I can buy) one, please let me know
not sure of its official title, but its the small check valve that goes on the short fuel tank hose and clips into the bracket under the body by the fuel filter.

Re: looking for fuel tank valve....
send me a pm if you are interested in selling it. I pulled my original 1987 one off today, cleaned it up, tried to take it apart to see what type of diaphragm is inside of it, but it doesn't come apart without destroying the pices.. tried to pull air through it and push air through it both ways, I can get air to go thought it, but with some heavy difficulty. does this seem right?
basically im trying to fix the woooosh of air coming from the fuel system when I open the tank cap for fuel.. and also the sporadic air sucking in when the car is shut off after a long ride,,,, after some research I think it is this valve causing the issue. or maybe the evap canister.
but i'll probably buy it off of you if you are selling it for a reasonable price
