Re: Looking for a cam

I am always suspicious on used cams, pistons, lifters, cranks for an engine & would not purchase.

Shucks Don... too bad you didn't post this about a month ago... I just sold my brand new ZZ383 cam that just about had those specs.

Re: Looking for a cam

Have a brand new erson bought as part of a package and never used, was mocked up and pulled engine never fired in box with cam card and cam doctor report. I realize the specs are more aggressive than what you want, but figure I'd offer it up. I'll take 85% of current retail shipped. Figured I'd save it for a 355 blow through setup I had in mind. Was purchased late 2019. Have the report card too, but no pics on my phone of it.

Sorry it's a "cam pro plus" report. Have it if needed, as well as actual cam card still in box.

Confusing issue
depends where I look as to model
two different specs when I put in that #
Can you confirm it is a snub nose cam for late model?

It is stepped nose for lt1/L98 I had to knock the pin in a little to make flush with cam sprocket on the l98, so you could use a slide hammer and pull it out to work with the opti on the lt1 if need be. Definitely not a retrofit cam.

Re: Looking for a cam

as you can see the engine never ran with the cam installed. Bought with heads, intake for the l98, ended up buying a 383 short block and got a better matched cam for it's compression and this went back in the box.

http://www.pbm-erson.com/Catalog/Ers...e_E/ERSE119709
erson uses the six digit part number in this case E119709 they offer the same "grind" in different configurations, cores, with the 4-7 swap etc.
