I'm looking for a throttle cable bracket for a carbed 305 F-body that isn't priced like it's made of gold (like the ones on eBay are). I'll accept any condition bracket. I believe the part #s are 14077903 & 14062608.

Its a guy with one post joining to say they have one I would not trust it. There are a few on ebay cheap about $40 grab one

Are you specifically looking for an oem one? Can't just use the $20 universal version?

 

Maybe I'm out of touch with prices these days but I thought $40 (probably $50 with shipping) seemed too high for just a little 14 gauge sheetmental bracket. I guess it's the Mennonite in me that makes it hard for me to spend that kind of money for something that seems like it should be half that price.

 

Which one are you referring to? I looked at the Edelbrock universal one but I don't know if it brings the cable stop close enough to the throttle lever on a Quadrajet carb. I have a bracket similar to that that mounts to the left rear corner intake manifold bolt and it doesn't bring the cable stop (where the casing stops at the bracket) close enough to the throttle lever for the part of the cable that clips to the lever to reach.
