305 to 355... a couple q's inside...
hey everyone... i just scored a BRAND FREAKEN NEW 355 off my friend for 500 bux! so dope... neway, ive got a couple questions about droppin it in the formula
-What size injectors do i need and how much should i expect to pay? I have a 305 TPI now and i knowthose injectors are 19 lb per hr's
-The block is a 4 bolt main from a '78 pickup... it has the split seal and my motor not has a 1 piece seal... can i reuse my flywheel?
-Finally, how long can I expect the T5 to last behind this motor? Im prolly gonna end up pushin at least 350 HP with this engine
Thanks for the help everyone!

Can't use your current flywheel. Get one for an '82-'85 3rd gen manual tranny application.
Would have to know more about this engine for the rest. Cam, heads, for instance. What exhaust do you intend to use? Doing anything to the TPI, like porting the plenum or base, aftermarker runners, etc?
19 lb injectors can feed 350 HP with an AFPR turning the pressure up a little. Or, go with 22 lb like the factory did for 350 TPI. Either way, you want the AFPR so you can tune it.
How long the tranny will last is inversely proportional to the abuse you heap on it.

Your best bet will be to burn your own proms. If you had an A4 then all you would have to do is change the injectors, knock sensor, chip and you would be good to go. You still need to change your knock sensor and injectors (22#/hr) but the chip is a little tricky since GM never offered a 350 and a manual trans. If you don't want to burn your own, then you will have to have one done for you... Ed Wright comes to mind.
I assume that you will be keeping your intake? While you have it off, clean it and port it a little.
Search the boards for 350/M5 swaps, that will help you a lot.
