having a swap done 2.8l w\200c to 327 w\th350
ok here is the deal i have a mechanic that does all the Really hard workl on my car.
he says he can get me
a 327 with a th350 to go in place of my measly carb'd 2.8l
what do i need so i can keep my a/c and pwr streering
i'm on a budget for now but plan on some performance parts later. for now i just gotta get an intake an the engine in on the smallest budget possible.
i'm changin to v8 front suspension parts as we type. Help!!!!

I hope he's a good friend, too. If he does this on the clock, it's going to be big, big bucks. If he isn't estimating big, big bucks, he may not know what he's up against. If he's your friend now, I hope he is afterwards, too.
"V8 suspension" is basically front springs and sway bar. If you have a 3 speed auto tranny, then the TH350 is the way to go.
Just moving the front engine mounts will kill off a good day. Best way to do it is to drop the A-arms, which you have to do to change the springs, too. But, you need the engine weight to get the A-arm back up if you're using a jack, but you can't have the engine weight on and move the mounts at the same time (unless you drop the A-arms and swap out the engines). A spring compressor might make it possible. A fully equiped shop may be able to cut the time for this down a little bit.
The best parts source is a factory V8 car. There really is that much that needs to be changed.
