My new project!!!!
Hey guys, here's my newest project for the beast. It's an L98 out of a 1989 GTA Firebird. It posted 190 RWHP with a thrown rod on my friends GTA. But when I'm through with it, it'll be more around the 350-400 RWHP range
Here's the plans for it: Holley Street Avenger 770 CFM Carb, ZZ4 bowtie dual plane intake, 58cc ported aluminum L98 heads(they are off of a ZZ4 crate motor), Speed-Pro 8.35:1 powerforged pistons, bored .030 over, eagle H-Beam connecting rods, new crank (the guy spun a rod), TNT force plate 2 Nitrous system, Comp Cams 1.52 Roller rockers, Comp Cams k08-412-8 cam kit (includes 08-412-8 cam, lifters, springs, locks and retainers), GMPP HEI Distributor, MSD 6-AL ignition. (the intake, distributor, and heads are from a brand new ZZ4 crate motor. My friend bought the motor and is using Vortec Heads and a TPI setup on it and gave me the parts from teh ZZ4 to use with the L98 I bought from him). I had help with the setup from an engine builder here in town who I am friends with. He helped me pick out the right parts that would work well together, gimme a motor that can be daily driven without a prob, but still whoop a@@ on the strip. He said it should be good for a 12 second motor. That's perfectly fine with me, lol. Tell me what ya guys think, here's a pic as is right now:

Crappy pic I know, but I didn't have my camera with me, I had to use my friend's.

Hey Cory, yes that is my ride and yes the motor is going in there, lol. I just ordered some new rims today and need to take my high-rise spoiler to be painted. I should be starting on the parts buying binge here in about a week, lol. I'll let everyone know how it comes. Thanks alot for the compliments.

Sounds good for everything but the carb. Holley's a little too proud of the SA's, IMO.
