v-6 to v-8 for my cuz

hey guys my cousin wunts to pay me to put my 305 into his camaro witch has a v-6 in it. i would be convertin the 305 over to carb so i wouldn't have to deal with the wireing junk. now my question is do i just need to get v-8 motor mounts and move them to the holes futher up on the frame? also could i use the alt. and all that stuff from his v-6 and put it on the v-8. i basically know how to do the fuelinjection to carb swap cause i am doin it on my car right now so its not a prob. thanks guys

Not much of what connects to the V6 will work on the V8. I hear the engine mounts on the frame are the same (don't know for sure, I had a V8 donor car), just in a different spot between V6 & V8, but that's about it. Everything else that bolts to or feeds the engine has to change in one way or another.

If you charge him enough to compensate yourself for the time you're going to spend, you may start a family feud.

Nope , the frame mounts as well as the engine mounts are different ...easy fix for 15.00 though. The engine mounts (clamshells) you can get off just about any SBC.

"SURVEY SAYS" ding, ding, ding....Get a donor car........
