can you build a 350 block with a 3.75" crank and .60over pistons or do they have to be .30? cause all I can find is 383 .30 pistons no 385 .40 or 388 .60 pistons? sorry if this a stupid question

I assume you're looking in catalogs and ads only.
Call up the outfits and talk to them. They are available.
Just curious, why do you want them? For the extra cubes, or because your block is already .030"-over and needs to be bored again to clean it up? The latter is a legit reason, the former is not.
Oh, note the "zero" between the decimal point and "3". It's thirty thousandths or sixty thousandths of an inch over, not thirty or sixty hundredths.

thanks five7kid, and the reason is that my block is already .040 over and i need to have it done again. by the way someone told me that .060 would make my walls to thin and that my block would'nt be strong enuff to make a 383 is that true. also thanks for the 0 and . thing

If you're going that much over, it's a good idea to have the cylinder walls sonic checked for thickness, just to be sure the casting has enough material left to support that much overbore.
Hey 86 SC i would definently not reccoment going .60 over with that combo. One of my friends just did that and he is playing hell trying to keep that motor cool. His name is tomster03 on here talk to him about it he will tell you all about it. Unless you plan on getting a really expensive radiator and other cooling components def dont go .60 over.

Hey yeah i had a .030 over 383 it ran great tons of power then i spun a conecting rod bearing. well that took out my cam and it messed the pistons/cylinder walls up.. No biggy i'll rebiuld it go .060 over right. WRONG it was one of the worst mistakes i made. The motor runs extreamly HOT. i didnt evon go as high of comprestion or with a health cam this time eather cuase high octane fuel was killing me and its gutless... soo now i have less horse power and its heats up faster than i mother ****!!!! I wish i would just went to a 400 sb like my buddie is...
Live and learn what year is you block mine is a 81 and the older style I guess is supost to have thinker cylinder walls...
