LT1 engine conversion
LT1 engine conversion
Hi,
I'm trying to put a 95 Trans Am LT1 in my 55 Chevy. However, there's a few stuff I don't know. Everywhere I read, it says the LT1 has 2 O2 sensors. On mine there's only one. The drivers side manifold seems to have a hole where one might have been, but it seems to have been welded shut. Also, where does the coolant line from the throttle body go to? Does it go to the that 3rd heater pipe on the water pump, if not, where does that 3d heater pipe go to? There are also 2 vaccuum lines I'm not sure of. One comes off of the plenum passenger's side rear, just above the line to the fuel pressure regulator. The other comes off of a box on the passenger's side plenum, then goes to the opposite side of the plenum. Where should these be routed
Wow, that was alot. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank You very much,
Dan

The other O2 usually goes in the Y pipe just after the flange.
The tb coolant line goes from the rad hose on the drivers side thru the tb and into the T fitting heater hose, which you can easily bypass it. Vacuum lines would be specific for your swap, they could have been for a/c etc.

One vacuum line probably goes through your firewall for your heating/cooling accessories.
That little box sounds like part of the emissions system.
Mine had a little black box that provided vacuum for the fuel vapour canister.
