305 to 350 swap questions!
i am considering swapping in a late 70s 350 into my car that has the 305 lg4.... i want to keep the computer comtrols and everything in it.... i will only be putting in a new cam different heads (but not much different) and possibly new manifold... i am wondering what changes i might have to make when setting up the computer system on the 350????? or if it is even possible at all

The '84 LG4 didn't have a knock sensor, which would be nice to allow you to run more compression, but that also means you don't have to worry about replacing it with a 350 unit.
Cam selection is really key to keeping the computer happy. The Crane compucam you mention in your sig would be fine. I'm using the biggest/badest flat-tappet one they make. It idles smooth at 550 in drive, pulls to 6k with ease. More cubic inches makes a cam seem less wild, so it should do you even better. You might want a higher stall torque converter, though.
The 305/350 difference really isn't that significant to the CC carb, so with the normal adjustments and some secondary tuning, it'll do fine.
I hope you have headers and 3" cat in your plans. The 305 would like it, the 350 will demand it.

yes hedders are in the works but the caatalytic converter is only 2.5 inch, hope that should suffice.... i know many people advise against it, but i am also considering switching to non computer controls... i have an hei unit and i would probly be getting a QJ off of a junked car, so not much would change, and i also know id have to get a TC lockup control as well, any thoughts??

I'm one of those who would advise against going non-CC. If emissions is a concern you have to address, don't even consider it.
2.5" cat will be restrictive. An average 350 would appreciate 3", let alone something really healthy.
