305 TPI to custom 350

heres the deal, i know theres plenty of posts like this, but mine is a bit different. I have a 305 TPI, and i want a bit more out of my car. I've decided i want to switch to a 350, but keep the tuned port setup.so my plan is to go to the junkyard, buy a decent 350, rip it apart, have the block bored and machined, then build it to a short block, RE-USE the 305 heads(is this a good idea?) and reuse the induction system. please people, tell me what i have screwed up on in my planning, and what i'm leaving out. thank you for your help. also, the 350 won't be radical, possibly a little hotter of a cam, but nothin special. another quick question, how much to have the 305 heads ported???

the restrictive 305 heads will match real good with the restictive factory tpi. if you're willing to live with and deal with the limitations go for it

what kind of limitaions will there be? i'm not aiming for a whole lot of perfromance, just a little more, and the main reason for the swap is reliability, with a rebuilt motor and a rebuilt transmission, i should be in a reliable car. just wondering how o make the most of what i have
