455 Olds VS V-6 ? anybody ?
I have a 1984 Camero with a v-6 , I would like to swap it for a
455 Olds with tranny ? Anybody has this Swap cant give some
advise or dont to it or it fits right in there,,,,,,,,,,,,

:lala: Your going to have to relocate the Torque arm mounting point to the car, which isn't the worst thing. Need to have the driveshaft resized. You can get a spicer shaft at musclemotorsports.com for about $50 and have your yokes welded on. The mounting points are probably different, but I don't know that for sure. The trans crossmember is going to need to be replaced. Oilpan to K member clearance might also be an issue. Since 455 olds engines exit the exhaust at a downward angle from the head, a custom header kit will probably be needed. BTW to get more HP out of that right off the bat, angle cutting the exhaust side of the head helps with flow. And the #1 reason that Olds engines aren't used as much as Chevy...... They weigh as much as a small house.
