I assume you mean you're replacing the TPI induction system with a carburetor. The answer depends upon whether or not you're using the factory '84 carb system. If so, then you need to change the engine wiring harness and computer, and either reduce the pressure coming from the in-tank fuel pump down to 5-7 psig before it gets to the carb, or remove the in-tank pump and just use a mechanical on the engine. There may be issues with getting the electric to run w/o the TPI computer, but I'm not clear on those details.
Just curious, if you are indeed changing from TPI to computer-controlled carb: Why?

I'd seriously consider putting the stock TPI on your new long block. That's my opinion. Mallory makes a good 3 way regulator. You'll also need a way to measure pressure. Also I would recomend leaving all of the stock TPI wiring on the car. Don't cut anything. This way you can install an aftermarket FI system down the road when you get more cash. It is far superior to Carb in almost every way. All out performance is a wash, but FI drives better, gets better fuel economy, starts and idles better, and actually fits under a stock hood. Hope we could help you there. Oh, you're also going to need the throttle/TV bracket, vacuum hoses, choke cable, and some other misc things I can't think of right now.
