Question about what I would run?
Well if youve seen my website, you would know that I am shooting for a goal with my car....
10.05@whatever in the quarter mile with a normally aspirated small block.
The lst part is the most important, must be normally aspirated and a small block. My question is, what is some of ya'lls suggestions on getting there? My guess would be one of two things.
1. 406 twin carberated. 15-16:1 compression on race gas/alchohol
2. 406 Super Ram Fuel injection. Higher compression but probably around 13.5-14.5:1
Which one do yall think is better, or enter your own suggestion. BTW, has there ever been anyone to do this... Go this fast, or even touch 9's on a normally aspirated SMALL block????? Ok, later guys

Buy a bow tie block, put a 4" crank in it and start off as a small block 427. Then build up from there, forget all that 406 crap, remember "theres no replacement for displacement". So you might as well go with one of the highest displacement small blocks. I wouldnt do a 434 just because you would have to bore the cylinder walls and make it a weaker engine.
yeah, your right. What kind of stuff on top though? Would you go a high dollar, but very high HP fuel injection system, or like a dual carb set-up on top? Also, full, non-street legal slicks right yall?

Don't forget about the tranny and suspension work too! If you are going to be using those sticky drag slicks, you will break things. Remember, a lot of people will tell you that traction is the key to going fast. As for your question, i had tpi in my car and i was going to go with a carb setup but decided to get a miniram instead and to keep the fuel injection. Now, if i will be able to tune it correctly, then i feel that i will have a badass motor. Go with whatever was in the car to begin with or whatever you can afford at the time. The fuel injection was $$ but i think it will work better, with both the swap and for performance in my case. good luck
