Casting numbers

I need to know what casting numbers to look for an a f-body L98 block. I am buying a used longblock from a guy and just want to make sure that he gives me a 350 and not a 305. What else could I use to determine the engines validity??

Help Please

You could always take the heads off and measure the bores. Or, if you're real brave you can CC the combustion chambers with alcohol. Run the #1 piston up to TDC and start dumping alcohol into the spark hole until it falls out. 305 heads are 58cc and 350 heads are 64 cc I think. The casting number thing is probably the best way to go.
