i'm going to get a rebuilt 350 pretty soon and i have a few questions. what new things do i need to get? fuel injectors? or can i use the ones on my 305? can i use my plenum and runners with a new intake manifold? computer? etc... and what kind of cam would be good for the 350, i was thinking the LT4 hotcam, but what are some other good ones. thanks

 

I can't answer all your questions, but I know you need a new prom at least, unless you are converting from tbi to tpi then you could just go pick up a Z-28 ECU. You do need to get new injectors for the car because the 305's injectors are quite a bit different (and they costed me $121 per injector and 2 are needed). You'll probably want to pick up a new knock sensor unless of course you decide to do the foil trick which I don't quite understand and don't know if I'd risk since the knock sensor was only like $30.
I hope you have luck with your swap though, because I just put a caprice police 350 in the car and now it's running like crap.. So we'll see what happens in the near future.
I know the MAP/MAF and the Fuel Pressure regulators are the same from engine to engine, so they shouldn't be a problem.. Anything I'm missing, if someone else wants to add in would be appreciated.. maybe it'll make my car work too.. lol
