getting out of the TBI game

AT the risk of making a lot of people unhappy. What all Do I have to do to convert from TBI to carb. MY Real concerns are with the ignition. I know that I can pull my harness and tbi and intake and computer relativley easily. But what do I have to do about ignition. (tourque converter already controlled by vacuum, so no prob there.

Thanx 4 yor time,
Joel

why the hell do you ask on the TBI board about going to a carb? ask on the carb board! with that being said read the sticky on the carb board, there is a tech article on this very site. now to help you out, you will need a non computer controlled distributor. i used an accel HEI one, it cost 100 bux plus my friend gave me a accel coil.

Heh-heh-'eh. . . Run the carb and keep the ECM for a timing computer. I've run several vehicles that way already. It is amazing what an ECM can do for timing control.
