383 in 1990 or 1968 camaro??

well this is what has happend so far. a few months ago i went out just cruzing around when i found a 1990 rs camaro in an aly(of coarse). i bought it for $250. the problem was that there was no trans, and the front end was smashed pretty well(fenders and such). but from the front of the doors back is in perfect condition. now my questions is should i through the engine in my 68 which where it came from ,not orginal , or into the 1990 rs where i think that it has better suspension.
both cars right now are engineless and mods to suspension is little on both. i have a tranny for the 1990 now(700R4).im just at the point where i dont know which one to build up.new or old???
thanx for the opinion

What do you plan on doing with the car you fix up?

My Camaro is my daily driver. It isn't as fast as the '57 (using it as a comparison to your '68), but it is a lot more fun to drive on the street, handles bunches better, and is a lot more comfortable.

I've liked 1st gen Camaros since they came out, never had one (came close a couple of times). You see a bunch of them at the drag strip and in the magazines, but not many in the parking lot.

So, I'd say this:

Drive - 3rd gen

Drag - 1st gen

what ever car i drop this motor into im going to use it as a weekend car, drag race car, and stang eater. the other probably do something to it later on down the road maybe make it quicker than the other its hard telling.
the rear end in the 68 has 3.43 gears posi and the rear end in the 90 im not for sure stock more than likey havent got under it yet to look at it.

Drop the engine in the third gen, get the front end fixed, and find a big block for the 68, and use the '90 for your daily driver
