tpi to carb?
tpi to carb?
i have an 85 z28 with a tpi/700r4
i wanna swap to a 350 carbed and th-350, now doing that isnt really my problem, i wanna know if theres a way that i can take the wiring harness/ecm from the car and still retain the basic functions of the car like lights/wipers that kinda stuff, cause i wanna use the harness and injection/trans in another car, but im not going to just junk this one and its not a full on race car so i still need all the basic stuff
also, will the tpi work without all that smog junk?
i really need help with this cause im about to start pulling it apart and dont wanna mess anything up
thanks

Engine: a big one
Transmission: 4 spd auto soon to be a 6 speed
do a search for it.
but i believe on the 1985 z-28 the ecm only controlled the engine. and then there was another harness for everything else.
i believe this is true because when i was ripping the engine out of my camaro there were two different wiring harnesses. one for the engine and one for the body.
have fun with the swap

In my 91 I had 2 harnesses also pertaining to the accesories, and the engine. I took out everything for the engine, and everything else except the cruise still works. I ripped the cruise out anyway.
