Braided Lines

I am trying to use Russell braided line and fittings throughout my engine compartment of my 90 Iroc. I can not find fittings that will thread into the steering box and adapt to a 6AN fitting. The stock fitting is NOT 3/8" NPT or Pipe Thread. I bought a 3/8" NPT to 6AN pipe adapter from russell and it does not fit. I also can't find a fitting that will thread into the fuel line female fittings. This is the fuel line that is rubber hose that has two female fittings (one at each end). Does anyone know what size these are or where I can get fittings that will work. ???

Sending you some info on the fuel lines....hope it helps

No email address ? i'll post a link that has some female saginaw flare to male 6an fittings.

Earl's part #

9894 DBH 14mm x 1.5mm

9894 DBJ 16mm x 1.5mm

I used these on my 87 T/A when I done a LT1 swap. I too had a hard time finding original replacements. One is a feed line and the other is a return line. The other end of these fittings will have a male 6an on it.........Good luck

You do not want to use regular braided hose for your power steering. It can not handle the pressure. Chevy high performance had on there web site an artical about running braided hoses and there is a higher pressure hose needed for power steering. You also need to get the fitting that work with is hose type. On my '69 camaro I got the hose and AN fitting from the local Parker store. I'm using a 1992 Z-28 steering box in my car and bought the steering box fittings from summit. I don't remember the part # but they were $13.99 each. One is a 16mm x 1.5 mm to 6-AN and the 18mm x 1.5 mm to 6-AN.
