If it's the normal GM Crate 350 that's listed for up to 1985 cars, then no, it won't bolt up. The (4) middle bolt holes on the intake are at a different angle. While you CAN easily modify the intake to work, it would be MUCH better IMHO to just hunt around ( EBay has 'em all the time ) for a 85-86 TPI intake that has the correct angle bolt holes. While I've modified intakes to work on this, they all tend to "seep" a little oil from the bolts, since you have to open up the hole for them to work. Nothing major, and a bit of RTV underneath a washer on the bolt can prevent it ...after awhile the RTV hardens, and the oil will seep thru. Again no big deal, but for $25-50 you should be able to score the right intake.

If your going to swap to new engine it would be high performance I assume. 2.02 valve heads/ bigger cam etc. I would also get a new TPI intake base(Whole intake preferably). Most intakes come with both bolt angles so it would work for all TPI engines.

There are two other engines you might want to take a look at that would fit your application better, the L05 P/N 12513151, and this other one.

The other engine is based on the L05 but has better heads and a better cam. Also do a search on the L05 on this board, you should be able to find quite a bit of info.

BTW I've never seen an intake that has provisions for both intake bolt angles.

Drilling out the holes in your original intake if it doesn't fit actually was easy. I did it on mine to fit 1972 heads. You wanna make sure the engines a 1 piece rear main seal engine or you'll have flywheel and oil pan fit problems.
