Chevy 350 in a 92'Thunderbird?
I want to take up a new project. Its a 92 Ford Thunderbird with a tired V-6. Has anyone ever dropped a chevy 350 with a chevy tranny in one of these cars before? It is going to be carburated. I've never worked on Ford engines and don't know much about them, that's why i'm considering chevy, but if its going to be too much hassle then i just might go with a ford crate and ford tranny. This is going to be my girlfriend's daily driver. Thanks for any ideas.
The 92 T-bird is a Fox body believe it or not. Check with the mustang guys and see what their doing because it all transfers over to the T-birds.
If it was me I'd find a nice 351W and stuff that in there or if you want to take on something major I've seen parts to swap a 429/460 in them.

It can be done in a Fox body chassis. A good friend of mine did this in high school. Him and his father made motor mount plates out of 3/8 steel. They did use a hammer to get the HEI to clear the firewall. He made his trans crossmember. The only thing he didn't like was he had to use manifolds, instead of headers. After much research, he found that one F-body header, and one newer Chevy truck header would work. Which one for which side, I don't remember. It ran very well. It was the fastest car in high school at the time. I always wanted to put a 350 in a Mustang, just b/c they are so light.
