I need to know if it would be illegal to totaly through out my ECM and wiring so i can put a carb. 383 stroker in it. I can not find any info on this subject. Also would it pass emissions if it's legal?

Good link above. It really does matter what the rules are where you live. Only problem in this place (SoCal) is that even though they check things over with a fine tooth comb, you can use an engine not offered in that chassis, as long as all the emissions equipment is intact, working, and the engine and related parts are the same year or newer than the car you are sticking it in. Been there, done that. Some other states you couldnt do that no matter what. Some states dont care what you do. And then too, there is always federal law that EVERYONE ignores, mostly because nobody upholds it.

Only way you'll get a good response to your question is to tell us where you live. Then there would have to be someone here who has dealt with that part of the country or at least knows the rules there.
