Engine dress up
Is there an advantage in getting those nice tall valve covers ?
And is there an air filter (carb) that works better than ...
Whith a 350/air gap/carb ill probably have to get a cowl hood..
At what point do u need breathers on the valve covers?
or cut up a stock one ?
Tnx for responding

In most cases, the only advantage that tall valve covers give, is to the seller's bank account. They do nothing whatsoever for the motor itself, and in some cases (where they aren't equipped with the oil drippers for the rockers) they actually harm other things. The only technical reason to downgrade to them is when your rocker gear won't fit under shorter ones.
The usual reason for those breathers on the valve covers, is when you have valve covers as above, and they don't support the PCV system. Another instance of harm produced by inappropriate replacement, this time by eliminating the system that helps keep the oil clean and free of fuel, exhaust, & condensation.
