Lt1/T56 Swappers--Question

For you guys that have done an Lt1 and T56 swap...did you put them in as a unit or did you put in the motor first and then the trans? If you had to put them in seperately, were the trans bolts a PITA? Thanks in advance for advice.

well, it shouldnt be any different than any other tranny combo. The easiest way I found was to drop the engine in, then bolt the bell housing up, then bolt the trans to the bell housing. Hardest part is restabbing the transmission, but its not too difficult.

I did mine with it as a whole, MUCH easier IMO.

I guess I'll try as a whole. I know that is usually the best way, just wasn't sure if it was possible. Thanks guys.
