LT1 or L98.(i have a chance for both)

Two camaros are being parted out in my area. the is a 87 IROC that will sell me the l98 for about 1000 (can.) and a 94 Z28 that i can get the LT1 for 2300(can.)? the LT1 comes with everything needed for the swap(computer, harness, etc) but i think i only get the motor with the l98. so whats the better deal? oh BTW 160kkms on l98 and 90kkms on LT1. is the LT1 worth the extra cash?

I am thinking it is because of more hp stock and more tuinable. but i have 900 bucks right now, so i will have to save a good bit(proabaly till early-mid summer)(I am 15 and don't work during school) to get the LT1. BTW also with the Z28 there is a 6-speed for an extra 1200. should i get that and not bother with the motors? nahhh.

the l98 would be an easier swap than the lt1.. and less money also..

I would find out what exactly comes with the l98. If you can get everything with it it will be a lot easier.

I would take the whole 6 speed setup at that price, it seems you have time for this, the LT1 price seems high, the L98 price seems high for the miles, but the 6 speed is a good deal, specially if thats cdn funds, get that then save for a LT1 and look for a better deal.

blah

you see where i lve, its not every day you find a LT1. the is the first i've seen in over a year for sale. thats why the price is kinda high and thats why i shouldn't let it go. I'd also really like to have that six speed to though.

about the swap... Whats this VATS thing i keep hearing about, i have no idea righ now???

I'd make this decision based on how fast you can get some funds together. And if you'll have extra money to spare during the swap because you will run into problems which require more cash.

I would try for the LT1 t56 combo.

If LT1's are rare, and you have to wait until at least summer to get the money for it you probably won't get it due to the fact that it will be sold by then. (I'm not trying to be rude but rather realistic.) The L98 is a heck of a lot cheaper but it was HIGH mileage! I like the others recomnedations of just getting the 6- speed and then saving up for a couple of years and going with an LT1 or building a nice motor yourself....
