Ur time probably won't change that much. I would keep the EFI. If u reprogram the computer and/or "chip it out" u can run better. I chipped out my girlfriends 97 Mustang GT and it made 285hp to 330hp just by a piggy back chip and a good reprograming. I bet if i would have ported the heads and added headers the number would have jumped more. Just that keep in mind when u modify EFI systems it gets pricey. I'm currently converting my carbed 454 to a EFI 454 mainly for the increased drivablity, better throttle response, faster warm up, and milage increase. The thing these days u can do to EFI cars is amazing i mean look at all the mods u can do to a already potent LS1 motor with out even touching the motor. But when they get into the motor mods these LS1 motors are amazingly very potent. I mean look at the modern corvette motors 406 hp from stock ....thats awsome. but then again it has a LS6 motor which isn't much differant than a LS1 except a bigger cam, better heads, and better flowing intake.

hey,
if you have the factory TPI setup then your times will improve GREATLY by going to carb. Don't listen to that other guy, a TPI is a bottle neck big time if it's stock. You want EFI go stealthram, etc.

At 4,500 say good by to your HP and TQ with a stock TPI, with a carb, the numbers keep on climbing. I think you'll see a pretty big difference.

Now if your TPI isn't factory then the change might not be apparent, but TPI really can't make that huge gains of power and it seems like with your heads and cam you're on the wrong side of the field for TPI, that should be a high revving cam, not a TPI friendly cam.

That is a good question. I pissed off the know it all bort62 then next thing you know I am on probabtion. I have e-mailed the moderators several times with no response. Then Keving g from the tpi board replied and said he would take care of it for me. Well he tried and it turns out he cant and said I would have to e-mail the owner of thirdgen.org so I did that twice and no response. The other thing is nobody seems to know who did it! This guy bort62 did not like a post of mine, then became a wise azz with his replys to my post and I get sh]t on!! gota love the clicks on the tpi board ehhh>?< ohwell so big deal I can post pictures or edit my posts. LOL and he thinks he got away with something great. The only thing that realy makes me mad is the fact that none of the moderators will reply to my e-mails. The only one was kevin g and was not able to do anything he said it needed to be overided!!!
