another friggin tbi to tpi swap question
Im thinking of upgrading my worn out 305 tbi for an 350 tpi with vortech heads anyone ever do this? what tpi system is better a mass or a speed density? cani use a tpi setup with vortec heads? any info would be appreciated.

You can get the base separately.
You'd probably be better asking your MAF/SD questions on the TPI forum. From what I understand, MAF is more forgiving to modifications on the engine side, SD is easier to taylor to your engine. The system in my garage attic is MAF.
