Wrong....
Their "exclusive stroker kit" added maybe 20 HP and 30 ft-lbs of torque. All the rest, came from all the other things they did to it.
Think of it this way: You've got $599 to spend on parts to build a short block, and a 305 block sitting there. You could either buy that kit and use your "free" block and come up with a 335; or, you could go to the junkyard and buy a 350 block for $100, and a complete 350 "kit" with the same parts, for about $300. Now, the 335 will not just "drop into" that 305 block, there will be clearancing issues, cam size, balancing, etc. etc., whereas the 350 will just assemble and go.
So here's the real choice: $600 and hassle for a 335; or $400 and zero hassle for a 350, which is more motor (more power).
Which one is the better deal?

RB hit the nail on the head.
I'm putting out more HP than their kit. The price of the kit does not cover what it took to get to their HP. The "other things" made more difference than the extra stroke/displacement.
Either fix up your 305, or go for a 350 like RB says. But, remember that the real gains won't come unless you do the "other things" anyway - exhaust, cam, plenum porting, runners, head porting, etc.
Oh, it also makes more sense to go out and get that JY 350 than to spend a dime on the 305 lower end - rings, pistons, etc.
