fuel question
fuel question
Ok, I've gotten a lot of the bugs worked out of my 2.8-350 swap, but I have run into a question. I am going from a 2.8 FI to a 350 carb. I am going to get a mechanical fuel pump in the side of the engine. my question is, what do I need to do with the tank? Should I leave the stock pump on? Do I need to run a new feed/return line? Thanks for any help.

If you have a return line from your in tank pump you should be able to reuse that. If you want to go to a mechanical fuel pump, im not sure if you need a return style regulator. There have been cases of people being fine with leaving their pump in tank and pulling through it, but its safer to simply remove it and go with a mechanical fuel pump. Try a search, this has been done before.

Re: fuel question
TGO tech article that has info about using an AFPR ( adjustable fuel pressure regulator) so that you can retain the stock electric fuel pump with a carb setup.
follow the link and look toward the end of the article.
