anyone know how much it costs to ship an engine? i'm looking to ship a 350 from michigan to connecticut. what kinda cost am i looking at? anyone have know what's a good company to use?

 

ABF, figure 500 dollars do the on line quote and you'll save some money but you have to drop it off and pick it up at the terminal

 

Try a quote from Conway trucking, and it should not cost more then $200 if you do the crating and delivery to the terminal. Also it is cheaper to ship to a business address then a residance.

 

I sold my 350 TPI engine & shipped it from southern Illinois to Washington DC last month. It ended up costing a little under 300 dollars thru Conway freight. Took 2or 3 days to get it there. The largest Pain was getting it mounted securely on a pallet and boxing it in with plywood. They charged me $340.00 initially and just last week I received a $48 dollar check from them they said that they had overcharged me (if I hadn't recieved the check I would have never known & would have still been pleased). I am very pleased with Conway , they are a very reputable shipping firm.
