LT1 swapping- harness ?????'s

Hey guys, obviously I'm new to this board. My big bro told me to come over here and get some info from you folks.

I'm building a competition rock buggy.

I have a 94 lt1 motor and that's it. I'd prefer to get a stock harness and comp and do the work myself.

Is there anywhere that I can find mass amounts of info on making the harness work without having to blow $350 on a painless kit. Are there any books out there yet?

I won't be running an electronic tranny and don't need/ want a speedometer. Is this going to cause me problems?

I've been told we have lt1 edit, but haven't seen it yet or know how to use it. I'm very computer illiterate, he isn't. BTW, I don't know what his name is here, but he goes by Ronus most places.

The attached pic is my current junk with the folks riding along. The buggy will be all tube and way badass.

Sean

Best place to find a used harness is ebay, you can use the harness and computer from these models.

94-95 Camaro and Firebird
94-95 Cadilac Fleetwood/Buick Roadmaster w/ 5.7 LT1

The best manual to use for wiring info on a 94-95 LT1 setup is a Helm Service Manual for a '94 Cadilac Fleetwood, I pick one of these up on ebay for $24. shipped
