94 LT1. Where to hook kickdown for 700R4?

Ok, I have a 94 LT1 out of an Impalla that I will eventually put into my 85 T/A. I was wondering how I would go about hooking up the kickdown to the throttle body? I know that the 93's had a 700R4 so I could probably use a throttle body from one, but that could be kind of expensive I would imagine. My cousin has a 93 LT1, but it is a 6 speed(will also eventually go into a thirdgen). My question is did they make a different throttle body in 93 for the Manual/Auto cars because if not I was thinking maybe I could use his and he could use mine. If they did make a different one for the manual/auto cars though it would cause a problem. Any ideas?

don't think 700r4 had a kickdown, do you mean the TV cable? i'd guess you could swap the TBs like you're thinking and it'd work.

Yes, I meant the TV cable. The tv cable does control the kickdown though. It also controlls line pressure at different amounts of throttle I believe.

Yes you need one from a 93, not sure on just swapping the two, should be fine if you each keep your own sensors, i beleive one is different on certain years.

True, you need a 93 trottle body since the bracket has a clip for the the TV cable. all the sensors are the same.

Trottle body in 93 are the same for A4-M6. The M6 just doesn't use the linkage

You could weld a bracket to the 94 trottle body. you'll have to make sure it's located exactly at the same place that it should be on the 93. if not done properly, you will damage the tranny.

So then me and my cousin should be able to swap then right? He has the 93 LT1 with 6 speed, and I have the 94 that will be going with a 700r4. Are the harness plugs the same and are they the same cfm?

Thanks

Ben
