LT1 cooling line question

Ok LT1 swappers a quick question..

Looking at the boards I know a 3rd gen radiator will work fine, so I have a nice griffen unit to use..

question is with the line from the back of the heads can I have a fitting welded on the radiator to hook the return to, or should it be spliced into one of the coolant lines? so basically does the location of the return matter? could it be spliced into the heater line? If possible I would just like to run it straight back to the radiator or T it into the heater line to get a cleaner look.

Thanks!

A user on this board told me I can use an upper hose for a 94 Z28 and it has a provision on it for another hose. The steam vent that you wrote about can be hooked to it. It is supposed to hook to the throttle body( If I remember right ). This way there will be no need to modify the radiator.

Thanks,

I was hoping there was a way to route it without using that hose though.. that is my last resort however..

Anyone else??

Actually the steam line hooks to the radiator on the LT1. This is how I have mine hooked up, but I have a 4th gen radiator. It has a provision for this line on it already.

Thanks for the help!
