I have A Dream! Can you help?

Hey, I have an 86 Z28 with the stock 305 and tranny.

My dream is to swap out to a 350 with a turbo, I know it sounds funny.

Anyways, I was wanting opinions on what size turbo, and what kinda new tranny am I gonna be looking for.

I am also getting ready to swap out to a dual exhaust, indiana winters were tough this year and my muffler didnt last, so why not get opinions on exhaust systems too!

Thanks for your help,

and yeah, I'm new!

your going to need a really large turbo with some magical powers if you don't plan on attaching an engine to it.

as far as the exhaust there are many ways to go about it, it all depends on what your looking to achieve and the money you can spend.

also helps to know what the car will really be used for and how much REAR wheel horse power you will have.

it really depends what your looking to turn the car into - daily driver??? also how much $$ your willing to put into the three fifty - I personally like turbonetics ceramic chetta turbo - it has basically no turbo lag - though its might pricey too...

I do know that you need a engine for a turbo lol, and I'm looking at spending around 7k on this venture.

I'm looking to make this an import killer, cause well, there are to many egocentrical imports rolling around my town.

FYI: Try asking this in the power adder forum.

From what I have seen:
Two IHI turbos will get you to 450-480 hp if done correctly
Two T3 turbos will get you to 550-600 hp if done correctly
Two GN turbos will get you to 650+ hp if done correctly

If it is a single you want:
A 68-1 with Q trim should get you to 500 hp
A T-70 will get you 600+
A T-72 or bigger will get you, well thats too much for me (on the street)

Tranny:
A really built th350 or a th400
You could use a 700r4 (or even a 200r4) but they are VERY expensive to build for lots of hp.

If you want a manual then ask the guys in the tranny forum, I dont know much 'bout them
