Dist connecting

Dropped the 350 into the 89 and its all bolted up, next goal is to get it started, which means the fun part, hooking up the dist. the motor is outta an 86 maro with a computer controled carb and such, i DO NOT want anything computerised on this motor (already got the new carb). how do I wire up the dist so it fires when its supposed to, stop when its supposed to and everything in between. i figure that the alt and starter hookup 2 the stock 2.8 harness but if im wrong, feel free 2 correct me.

Might have to use an old style distributor. Not sure, but I'm pretty sure that the ignition module in the HEI distributor NEEDS an ECM to function correctly.

just go get a distributor for a76-78 hei 350 all you need to do is hook up a power wire and the tach wire.
