I found a 1987 Trans-Am tpi 350 for sale, and it is just the motor and transmission. It has no computer or harness or anything. So i also found a harness and computer and all the sensors from a seperate person. This harness and sensors and computer are from a 1986 IROC tpi 350. Are these two compatible or is there a difference between an 1986 and 1987 or between a trans-am or camaro?

 

There pretty much the same. 86-89 there were really no changes. Your 2.8 probably has the same ecm, different chip though. I'll be changing my 88 camaro over to tpi in the next few weeks. It's tbi right now.
