Get a V8 donor car for all the mounting and connecting stuff you're going to need. Sell the engine and tranny out of it if you like, but you're going to need a lot more than an engine and tranny to make this happen.

How "hard" it is, is a very relative question. Probably easier than ousting an entrenched blood-thirsty dictator from an oil-rich Middle-Eastern country, but certainly harder than changing out the 2.8 V6 with another.

It is not hard. There are just a lot of little things. You don't have to change the springs (I didn't), although some do. I know five7kid has written a lot on this before, and I've added some of my own thoughts from time to time.

When I swapped my 305 for a 350 I used the water temp. sending unit from the 350 because the hole was bigger. For years I drove around thinking that my engine was running hot. The problem was the sending unit I should have used was the one from the 305, and get an adapter to fit into the bigger hole. Moral of the story is to use the sending units from the original engine.

It can be trouble if your don't have all the tools you need or a "very" good knowledge of the third's. I have done it twice. If you decide to do it and run into anything msg me, i live about 45 mins south of you.
