help... V6(1986) to V8(1990) trouble
I got this doner car with a v8... i swapped the engine(with engine wiring harnes and computer)/tranny/rearend... and put in a new fuel pump... unfortunately i cannot get the car firebird to run... it tries to crank... but there is no fuel going to the engine... i can jump the fuel pump to the battery and turn it on... but even then its not getting into the engine...
it might be the inside wiring harness or
the '90 had a chip in the stearing column
or i don't know what
i really need to get this car going before i move... any help is greatly appreciated
feel free to email me or leave me a message

ok i had the same problim in my 92. i fixed it. can you hear your fuel pump turn on? in order for your fuel pump to turn on you need to have your oil pressure switch hooked up.

no i dont think it is. if it cranks over then your vats isnt the problem. vats disables your starter and fuel injection.

You should also makre sure the relay is conducting the right amount of amperage. I had a relay go bad once. Even tough it switched on and off correctly, it did not conduct enough amperage.
