An LS6 for swap purposes requires all the same stuff as an LS1.. just has more power

are there ls6 headers or would i use ls1 headers? im just gonna build a custom ls6 from scratch unless i find a wrecked z06 vette on the side of the road. then im not gonna have a prob anymore. ok so itll be the same as an ls1 swap? cool, im in good then.

Yep same stuff, in fact fbodies started coming with the ls6 manifold as standard during their last years.. just the manifold however.

Not sure about exhaust, there are people on the board that can help you with that.. my swap is LT1 not LS1 though I must say it was a tough choice..

Like everyone said the LS6 is the same as an LS1 swap. You can use hooker shorty headers. I decided against them for now. I am not sure how my state handels emissions. Also I did not want to deal with leaks and loosening bolts. I am making up for it on the back end with high flow cats and exhaust.

Be prepared to pay a premium for the LS6. That was my first choice. However I decided on a 2001/02 LS1 because it already has the LS6 intake, etc. The money I saved went into cam, pushrod, springs, and a torque converter.
