Well, this isn't for my thirdgen, its for my truck but you guys know quite a lot about chevy motors. Anyway, i have this truck i just bought its a 90 chevy short wide bed with a 2/4 drop rollpan and some other goodies but the only bad thing besides the body is that is has a 4.3L V6 and i have this friend that has a 69 chevy pick-up and i have already bought the 350 from him. It runs now but it smokes and who knows what kind of condition inside the block. Im on a limited budget and i want it to sound like a SWEET motor should. I want a little lope in it but if i can get that and save any kind of gas mileage maybe. Any suggestions on cam and head work etc. to get this sound for relatively cheap. Fuel-injection is possible for me. I am planning to re-ring it and put all new bearings ect. Prices would help, thanx.

Z28clone is right. If you have to buy fuel injection as well, it's gonna be at least 1000 bucks.
