V6 vs V8 emissions
Which is going to produce more emissions:
'84 2.8L V6 2bbl, non CC, EGR & AIR... poorly tuned (passed DEQ)
OR
Same vehicle with '87 305 LT1 Cam, Cat, NO EGR/AIR, Headers, edelbrock 600CFM Carb.
Think I can pass the sniffer with the V8 and no egr/air?

The reason I was asking, was that I've heard the 2.8 puts out worse emissions than a V8.

Hmmm... tough one. Standard logic tells me that V8 = more engine = more power = more emissions, but GM engineered the emission controls to burn just as clean as any other engine, so with all the smog controls hooked up, I would say they are the same.
